KUALA LUMPUR: Despite being suspended, Datuk Tajuddin Abdul Rahman (BN-Pasir Salak) remained in Parliament and even voted on a bill, says Teo Nie Ching (PH-Kulai).
Teo said the Hansards for July 20 showed the Pasir Salak MP remained in the House after he was ordered out after an incident where he was accused of using expletives and going on a tirade against Opposition MPs.Teo said that Tajuddin was the 90th MP to cast a vote for the Security Offences Act 2021 Bill.
Later at a press conference at Parliament’s media centre, Teo said action should have been taken on Rashid as well. Meanwhile, Kasthuri who was also at the press conference said she was disappointed with Rashid’s ruling that the use of expletives by Tajuddin was not recorded in the Hansard, adding that it would not have been recorded as Tajuddin had uttered cuss words after the microphone was turned off.She said nine MPs were also witnesses to the incident and they were summoned to give their statements.
