THE Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID) has appointed a new contractor to complete the partially completed river embankment project to protect areas next to Sungai Langat here.

The show business personalities proudly announced their successful ascent of the 4,095m mountain, which also holds the distinction of being the third-highest peak on an island. The duo, accompanied by five others, started their journey at 8.30am, reaching the Laban Rata rest house at an elevation of 3, 272m above sea level about five hours and 48 minutes later.
Just about 30m from the summit, Zax Wang was heard offering words of encouragement to his wife, who appeared fatigued.
