The officer-in-charge of the Tabuelan Police Station in northern Cebu is willing to appear before the Senate to clear his name after he was linked to the camp of suspended Negros Oriental Rep. Arnolfo Teves. ManilaBulletin
Police Col. Allen June Germodo denied that he was close to Teves who was accused of masterminding the killing of Negros Oriental Gov. Roel Degamo.
In a hearing by the Senate Committee on Public Order and Dangerous Drugs on Tuesday, April 18, Germodo’s name was mentioned by Siaton Fritz Diaz.Siaton said the money was part of the proceeds from Small Town Lottery and online “sabong” .Germodo admitted he was the chief of police in Santa Catalina, Negros Oriental in 2020.
“I will go to the Senate to clear these things up. I want to clear this allegation against me,” said Germodo in Cebuano. The Cebu Provincial Police Office said it will be up to the national office to decide on the matter. Police Lt. Col. Mark Gifter Sucalit, deputy provincial director for operations of CPPO, said they did not receive any information linking Germodo in the murder case of Degamo.
