T-Mobile is facing off against Square and Clover to make a push into the payment terminal space:
with US-based processor TSYS to move into the mobile point-of-sale space with GoPoint, a mPOS device for small businesses that offers free same-day funding, no software licensing fees, and 24/7 customer service powered by TSYS.
GoPoint offers two mPOS readers that connect to a T-Mobile compatible tablet or smartphone via Bluetooth and accept both magstripe and EMV cards. T-Mobile is diving into a crowded and competitive space, but its established brand and affordable product could make for a compelling offering.T-Mobile's entrance into the payment terminal space means it's facing off against two well-established players: Square and Clover.
