Syabu most seized drug in KL, says police

KUALA LUMPUR: Syabu remains the most seized drug among drug users in the city.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Azmi Abu Kassim said 108.53kg of syabu worth RM10.85mil were among the RM16.89mil worth of drugs that will be disposed of."We are constantly monitoring the situation and consistently conducting operations to curb the drug menace," he told reporters after attending the ceremony to dispose of seized drugs and drug-making equipment on Wednesday .

Comm Azmi said the other drugs that will be disposed of were 66.3kg of cannabis , 14.28kg of ketamine , 27.3kg of MDMA , 117.3l of ketum water , as well as other chemicals and ingredients to produce drugs."The seized drugs are from cases, which court proceedings have concluded," he said."We hope we can conduct the disposal of such case materials to make space for our storage areas.
