By Ben Chapman Close Ben Chapman Updated July 8, 2020 9:32 am ET An SUV driver drove through a Black Lives Matter protest on a street in Midtown Manhattan Tuesday evening after demonstrators tried to stop his car while they marched, New York Police Department officials said.
The driver started driving through a demonstration at 42nd Street and Sixth Avenue at about 9 p.m. after protesters attempted to stop his car from passing while they marched, the officials said.
