The development of the coconut processing industry from upstream to downstream in the region faces a number of challenges. Therefore, we need a road map as a common guide.

The results of the discussion produced a roadmap formulated around five ideas. Firstly, productivity enhancement will be done through the development of certified coconut variants and seedlings, production-supportive technology, coconut processing, and marketing, increasing farmer capacity, and providing access to financing.
With the presence of World Coconut Day in Gorontalo, it is hoped that it can provide encouragement for farmers, entrepreneurs, micro, small and medium enterprises, younger generations, and all stakeholders in various regions to restore the glory of coconut. In addition, the central government also needs to support by providing subsidies and incentives.
"There are three keywords, namely creating comprehensive and targeted big data, focusing on institutional strengthening, and market development."Especially big data, this is the most important because regarding coconut data we are still limited," he said in his speech.
