Sustainable aviation fuel will “have to play a significant role” in the future of Australia’s energy, according to Bioenergy Australia CEO Shahana McKenzie.
“In order for aviation to hit its net zero target, sustainable aviation fuel is going to have to … play a significant role,” Ms McKenzie told Sky News Australia.
“Unfortunately, electrification and hydrogen are just not going to be able to play big roles in even the medium term to be able to support those sectors.”
