CAMP MELCHOR DELA CRUZ, Gamu, Isabela — Army soldiers and police officers unearthed an arms cache at a suspected New People’s Army hideout in Balbalan town in Kalinga province on Friday, December 9, police said on Saturday, December 10.
Found were an M-16 Armalite rifle with four magazines, two Garand rifles with five magazines, a carbine rifle, three rifle grenades, 30 assorted bullets, two ammonium nitrate sticks used for landmines, three improvised explosive devices, electric wires and blasting caps, medical kits, a rebel flag, personal belongings, and anti-government documents.
