A suspected kidnapper has reportedly died after a gun duel between his gang and the Police. Other members of the criminal gang reportedly escaped the crime scene. The suspect was reported to have died at a hospital from injuries he sustained during the gun duel.
The Police led by ASP Julius Robinson recovered from the suspect, two Beretta pistols and five rounds of live ammunition. The incident occurred at about 23:47hrs of 20/06/2024 along the Edje Kota-Ogor Communities axis in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State. Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe confirmed the report in a statement signed and made available to Our Correspondent in Warri.
