Suspected DUI driver suffers major injuries in Oak Park solo-vehicle crash [Breaking]
A 21-year-old suspected drunken driver suffered major injuries early Monday when he crashed a car off a ramp near state Route 94 in the Oak Park neighborhood and overturned, authorities said.
The crash was reported around 1:45 a.m. near the Euclid Avenue off-ramp of westbound SR-94, California Highway Patrol Officer Jesse Matias said. No other vehicles were involved. 10News San Diego reported the BMW sedan went down an embankment and ran into a tree, nearly cutting the car in half.The man, a Chula Vista resident, was taken to a hospital to be treated for major injuries. He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. A 27-year-old woman riding in the car was unhurt, Matias said.
