An Allentown man was arraigned on several charges this week in connection with the December incident, state police said.
A man accused of selling methamphetamine in a Lehigh Valley park-and-ride lot fled from officers and hit speeds of more than 100 mph during a subsequent chase, Pennsylvania State Police said.
On Wednesday, Quinones, of Allentown, was arraigned on 74 counts including possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, fleeing police, flight to avoid apprehension and a slew of summary traffic violations.Troopers with the state police Troop M Vice Unit and officers with the Northampton County Drug Task Force arranged a controlled purchase of meth on Dec. 28 with Quinones, who was already wanted in Lehigh and Lancaster counties, authorities said.
A marked Bethlehem Township police car tried to stop the Honda, and had its lights and sirens on, when Quinones took off and began speeding and weaving in traffic on Route 33 North, court records say. A state police trooper in a marked vehicle joined the chase, and Quinones merged onto Route 22 West, troopers say.
Quinones kept going, getting off at Airport Road and heading north with multiple police vehicles with lights and sirens trying to stop him, records say.
