Suspect accused of stabbing Salt Lake City man and considered 'armed and dangerous' taken into custody in Oregon
PENDLETON, Oreg. — The suspect accused of stabbing a man in Salt Lake City earlier this week has been taken into custody in Oregon after a wild police pursuit.
Early Wednesday, Etherington allegedly attacked a woman at an apartment complex near 1450 South and West Temple. When the woman's boyfriend intervened to stop the attack, he was stabbed multiple times by Etherington. On Friday, Etherington led troopers on a pursuit after he was spotted on an Oregon highway. He began driving into oncoming traffic, hitting a police vehicle, before leaving Interstate 84 and heading through open fields.
