and person of interest in a shooting that injured nine people in San Francisco’s Mission District last week has been arrested in Santa Cruz County, authorities said. Police nabbed 22-year-old Javier Campos on Wednesday night after a chase by law enforcement officers, authorities said. He remained in custody without bail early Thursday at the Santa Cruz County jail.
He was being held there on suspicion of first-degree murder in an Oakland shooting that killed a man in January, authorities said. Santa Cruz County law enforcement officers arrested him on suspicion of evading an officer with disregard for public safety and for being a felon in possession of a firearm, authorities said.
