Two Susquehanna University students are facing discipline for not reporting the banner being ripped.
SELINSGROVE – A Penn State student has been identified by the Selinsgrove police chief as the suspect in the vandalizing of the Black Lives Matter banner at Susquehanna University.
The investigation is continuing and due to the nature of the incident it could be classified a hate crime, Mitchell said. The banner was one of two hanging from the Degenstein Campus Center. The other proclaims “You Belong Here.” In response to this incident and the broader range of concerns surrounding it, Green said the administration is working with student leadership to develop meaningful programs.
