BREAKING: The man accused of shooting a Scottsdale police sergeant in downtown Phoenix Friday night has been arrested nearly a day later.
Phoenix police say 37-year-old Kenneth Hearne shot an on-duty Scottsdale sergeant at a downtown Phoenix apartment complex on Friday.A man accused of shooting a Scottsdale police sergeant in downtown Phoenix on Friday, Jan. 6, has been arrested nearly a day later.
Detectives were trying to talk to him when they were shot at through the wall, and a sergeant was hit. Officers shot back, but it is unknown if Hearne was struck. As for the suspect, Chief Walther said Hearne fled over a balcony and remains on the loose. The suspect was considered armed and dangerous before being caught.
