People intending to vote Yes at next month's Voice referendum have marched in New York and now Brisbane with more rallies expected across Australia today.

One Adelaide attendee, Lilly Lesslie, said the turnout was a "relief".Voice to Parliament supporters marched down Adelaide's King William Street on Saturday, with dozens more events scheduled across Australia for Sunday.

The Yes campaign argues First Nations Australians need a specific body to advocate their needs to parliament because they face serious and unique challenges which have not been solved despite decades of attempts. Debate between the Yes and No campaigns has intensified in recent days, with Indigenous Australians minister Linda Burney expressing shock at No campaigner Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price's comments.

Ms Burney said she felt betrayed by the comments because the idea that colonisation didn't have far-reaching effects was "simply wrong".
