The SPF company has hired a new CEO, Lisa Sequino, who formerly led JLo Beauty.
“Lisa brings such super experience and perspective to the table, having built her career scaling and accelerating growth within both established luxury and upstart beauty brands alike,” said founder Holly Thaggard in a statement.“But most importantly, she fully understands and is passionate about our mission, which is to change the way the world thinks about sunscreen through innovation and inspiration — and ultimately to help stop the epidemic of skin cancer,” Thaggard continued.
“This special brand has an incredibly strong infrastructure, passionate brand loyalists and significant reach already, and I’m excited by the tremendous opportunity ahead to further expand its global footprint and bring new innovative products to market,” Sequino said in the statement. The beauty industry has seen a wave of CEO changes from companies of all sizes as a result of a rapidly evolving market. Philippe Pinatel, also a Lauder alum,through its acquisition by P&G Beauty — for the same role. Gregg Renfrew, founder of Beautycounter, also returned to that brand as CEO..
