A Nintendo Holiday Showcase highlighted a myriad of current and upcoming games like Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Detective Pikachu, and Mario Kart DLC.

It's been a big year for Nintendo, with a slew of releases like The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Pikmin 4 filling out the first half of 2023 and even more slated to arrive over the next few months. Upcoming titles like Super Mario Bros. Wonder and WarioWare: Move It! will soon join this roster of games alongside content updates for existing titles, like the final wave of DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

The brief demo also included a look at Wonder's badge system, specifically the Wall-Climb Jump move one of them can grant players. Having such a diverse range of ways to tackle each level, both when it comes to the actual traversal and character form, makes it seem like Wonder has the potential to be a lot of silliness and fun. The game is set to release October 20.

Sonic Superstars' Speedy Multiplayer The event gave a fun look into the multiplayer aspects of Sonic Superstars. Players can choose between four characters: Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, and Amy, all of which come with a special ability; Sonic can roll, Tails can fly, Knuckles can glide, and Amy utilizes a special hammer. Another player and I took on the tropical Bridge Island Zone as Tails and Sonic, and it quickly became apparent how character choice can affect a stage's difficulty.
