Treasurer Jim Chalmers, who has suggested a tax cap on super funds over $3 million, will release on Tuesday the tax expenditures statement, which estimates the value of tax breaks on superannuation, housing and other concessional measures.Last year’s statement, released in January, forecast the combined “cost” of concessional tax rates on superannuation contributions and earnings as $48 billion for 2022-23.
“One of the things that we’re doing in this campaign is, we’re making all of our policies clear,” he said.
