IT will be sunny in Luzon while parts of Visayas and Mindanao will experience overcast skies and scattered downpour due to the low pressure area (LPA) which is embedded along the inter-tropical convergence zone (ITCZ).
Weather specialist Obet Badrina of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the LPA was estimated over the coastal waters of San Agustin, Surigao del Sur.He said the weather disturbance along with ITCZ -- an imaginary line where the northern and southern air meet -- is also affecting Palawan which will also experience cloudy skies with occasional rain showers and thunderstorms.
'We have been monitoring the movement of the LPA and it still has a slim chance to develop into a tropical depression,' Badrina said.Meanwhile, the state-run weather agency reminded the public anew especially Luzon, including those in Metro Manila, to limit outdoor activities during noontime and early afternoon when heat is most intense and stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water.
