A Malaysian couple travels far and wide to check off a bucket list destination in Canada.
KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Umno 's Sungai Sibuga assemblyman, Datuk Mohamad Hamsan Awang Supain, is in the intensive care unit at KPJ Sabah Specialist Hospital.
His daughter Nurhafizah Fatin said in a text message that as of 10.10pm on Thursday , her father was still receiving treatment and that his condition remained critical."Please pray for him and forgive any of his shortcomings. Thank you for all your prayers," she wrote. According to Mohamad Hamsan’s younger brother, Wahidan, the 56-year-old Assistant Housing and Local Government Minister has been battling acute kidney disease and has been in and out of the hospital since December, with his most recent admission on Wednesday .Born in Sandakan, Mohamad Hamsan is serving his first term as an assemblyman. He was a Barisan Nasional candidate in the September 2020 snap state election, contesting the seat previously held by former Chief Minister Tun Musa Aman.
Musa, who was appointed Sabah’s 11th Tuan Yang Di-Pertua Negeri on January 1, did not contest in the election. A long-time Umno member, Mohamad Hamsan was appointed Assistant Housing and Local Government Minister in the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah state government under Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
In recognition of his service, he received several state honours, including the Panglima Gemilang Darjah Kinabalu , which carries the title Datuk, in 2022.

Unidentified Man's Body Found Floating in Sungai DamansaraThe body of an unidentified man was found floating in Sungai Damansara behind a warehouse in Section 22, Shah Alam. The deceased was not carrying any identification documents and is believed to be a non-local due to the absence of Bacillus Calmette–Guérin (BCG) vaccination marks on his left shoulder.
