Sundowns' squad depth against TS Galaxy will be tested in the Carling Knockout Cup
The Brazilians travel to Mbombela Stadium for the opening fixture of the newly launched Carling Knockout Cup without their Bafana Bafana players – Ronwen Williams, Grant Kekana, Themba Zwane, Aubrey Modiba, Teboho Mokoena, Khuliso Mudau and Mothobi Mvala, who were in action against Ivory Coast on Tuesday night.
He said they always approached every game intending to win. He added since this was a cup game, it would be important to finish it within regulation time. The Brazilians are still reeling from their MTN8 final loss to Orlando Pirates and would want to progress to the last eight of the competition in which the winners are guaranteed R6.8 million.However, Sundowns, who are also involved in three other tournaments – DStv Premiership, CAF Champions League and the CAF African Football League – would have to juggle carefully, as they have a big game coming over the weekend away in Angola.
