Sultan Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, officially opened Elmina Lakeside Mall (ELM) and Elmina Outdoor Sculpture Museum (EOSM) owned by Sime Darby Property in Bandar Elmina. The malls offer a variety of shopping and dining options, as well as a space for local artists to showcase their work.

Azmir berkata, ELM dan EOSM yang terletak di bahagian luar premis itu merupakan pusat beli belah kedua dimiliki sepenuhnya oleh Sime Darby Property selepas KL East Mall di Setapak, Kuala Lumpur. Jelasnya, 99 peratus lot premis pusat beli belah itu sudah pun disewa oleh pelbagai perusahaan perniagaan dengan kehadiran lebih 180,000 pengunjung semasa pembukaannya.
