Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah of Selangor has ordered the state government to establish a flood action plan to address flooding issues and expects results soon. The ruler has previously emphasized the importance of effective and well-planned actions to mitigate frequent flooding in Klang and other areas.
KLANG : Sultan Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah menitahkan kerajaan negeri menubuhkan pelan tindakan bagi mengatasi banjir di negeri ini dan mahuu melihat hasilnya dalam masa terdekat.
Baginda menegaskan, semua pihak berkuasa perlu belajar dari kesilapan lalu terutamanya bencana banjir pada Disember 2021 yang hampir melumpuhkan sebahagian daerah di Selangor dan cuba memperbaikinya dengan berkesan rakyat. “Takkanlan kita hendak gunakan alasan banjir berlaku disebabkan perubahan iklim atau penurunan hujan yang tinggi dan luar biasa akibat daripada act of god.
Dalam pada itu, Sultan Sharafuddin turut menzahirkan kekecewaan terhadap tahap kebersihan di Bandaraya Diraja Klang termasuk sungai yang dicemari teruk dengan sampah sarap.
