PHNOM PENH: A Cambodian journalist died on Saturday (Dec 7) after he was shot this week while investigating illegal logging in the country's northwest, police said.
ALOR SETAR: The Sultan Abdul Halim Airport runway, closed since Nov 29 due to flooding in Kota Setar, Kedah is expected to reopen and resume operations this Monday .
"Cleaning works are ongoing and equipment repairs are being carried out. The primary focus now is to clean critical areas, particularly the landing zones for aircraft, which have been cleaned," he told reporters on Saturday "The runway stretches 2.7km, and during the flood, it was submerged under 50cm of water. The taxiway experienced flooding of up to 80cm, while the apron area was under 4cm of water.
