Suits is one of the most popular streaming series.

Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Suits has ended its record-breaking streak on the streaming charts, but it is still giving a phenomenal performance. The legal drama, which stars Gabriel Macht, Patrick J. Adams, and Meghan Markle, ran for nine seasons on the USA Network from 2011 through 2019.

Per Variety, Nielsen has reported their streaming ratings for the week of August 14 through August 20. The Suits streaming numbers have dipped below 3 billion viewership minutes to 2.836 billion, officially ending its seven-week streak of hitting above the 3 billion benchmark. However, it's still the No. 1 streaming program on the chart, earning more than 1.7 billion minutes more than the second-place contender, which is the new Netflix series Painkiller with 1.12 billion minutes.

What's the Show That Will Knock Suits From No. 1? The huge margin between the top slots show that Suits will likely continue dominating the charts in the coming weeks, even as it encounters diminishing returns. While the sheer amount of episodes that Suits contains is likely one reason the show is racking up so many minutes, it's still a remarkable accomplishment for it to so handily beat this many contemporary titles.

However, Suits' domination will have to end at some point. In fact, it may have already happened, considering the fact that the Nielsen charts consistently lag about a month behind the current date. However, this seems unlikely given the show's huge lead, and it remains to be seen what show will be the first to knock it from No. 1.

Most likely, the title that will unseat Suits will be a television season, as those have more possible minutes for viewers to watch than feature-length movies. While this hit could come from any streaming service, it will likely come from one of a heavy-hitter like Netflix. Possible contenders include Mike Flanagan's Fall of the House of Usher or The Crown season 6, which will be the final season for the buzzy drama.
