Some penitents in Subic, Zambales were kicked and dragged through the streets in the hopes of being forgiven of their sins during Holy Week.

The incident, which happened in Barangay Calapandayan on Good Friday, showed a man covered in white cloth being tied up and dragged along by at least five men, according to JP Soriano's "24 Oras" report on Saturday.

“Sa ginagawa po nila sobra na po kaya maraming sumisigaw na tao na tama na kaya lang po ang sabi nung mga naghuhudyo okay lang daw po sa kanila yun kasi may usapan naman daw po sila bago nila gawin yun,” Jessa Battad, the resident who took a video of the incident, said.
