A startling new study has revealed 64 per cent of China's population has contracted COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic.

A new study has revealed some 900 million Chinese have been infected with COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic, suggesting China has been concealing the true extent of its outbreak all along. The study, conducted by Peking University, estimated 64 per cent of China's population had contracted the virus up until January 11.

Offer ends 31 October, 2023 Burnet Institute epidemiologist Michael Toole, said while data from China sheds some light on the situation, it does not paint the whole picture. China's COVID wave is expected to continue for the next three months, though government officials claim that many cities have already reached the peak of infections.
