Powerful gusts are expected across the region from Tuesday, Nov. 15, through Thursday, Nov. 17.
Southern California can expect the first strong Santa Ana winds of the season next week, the National Weather Service says.
Gusts could reach 65-75 mph in the LA County foothills and in the I-5 corridor, including the Cajon pass, Thompson said. Meanwhile, a different, northerly wind system is blowing in this weekend, though it won’t pack the punch of the Santa Anas, forecasters said.
