THE weeklong nationwide transport strike will continue until President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
comes out with an executive order junking the public utility vehicle modernization program, the leader of a transport group said.'The transportation strike will continue. What we're asking is for the President to issue an executive order to stop this bogus program,' said Pagkakaisa ng Samahan ng Tsuper at Operator Nationwide national president Mody Floranda in an interview.
The transport group leader said the transportation strike was a success with 80 percent of Metro Manila affected and that 100 percent of the major routes in the National Capital Region 'paralyzed.''What the LTFRB, the DOTr, and the President should do is to stop the omnibus franchising guidelines in the modernization program,' Floranda said.'Our worry as operators is that we'll lose our livelihood. Should we always live worrying?' he added.
