A light plane with three people aboard landed safely without landing gear Monday after circling an Australian airport for almost three hours to burn off fuel.

KUALA LUMPUR: A storm has swept through the city, uprooting five trees and causing damage to a house and at least eight vehicles.

According to the Fire and Rescue Department, they received calls about fallen trees between 4.50pm and 6.13pm on Monday ."Another tree also fell along Jalan Selesa 1, Taman Gembira and damaged the roof of a house," it said in a statement. It added that a tree also fell at the Universiti Malaya Medical Faculty and damaged a car. No casualties were reported.

"We received another report that a tree fell near Menara Prestige along Jalan Pinang and damaged three cars and five motorcycles. No injuries were reported. "Another tree also fell near the Universiti Malaya examination building and damaged one car there.
