Temperatures climbed to the mid and upper 60s Sunday afternoon under full sunshine. The warmer temperatures, combined with low humidity, gusty south winds, and an ongoing drought led to critical fire danger across much of the state. A Fire Weather Warning has been posted for the western half of North Texas until 9 pm on Sunday.
The warmer weather will last through all of next week with highs in the 70s. It will definitely feel like spring! There is a chance for scattered thunderstorms Monday evening. A few storms may become severe, with hail the greatest threat. But it appears that most of the rain will again be east of Dallas.: Mostly clear, breezy and cool. Low: 49. Wind: S 10-20 mph.: Mostly cloudy through the morning, then partly cloudy, breezy, and warmer. A 20% chance of thunderstorms by evening, mostly east of Dallas. High: 73. Wind: SW 10-20 mph.: Mostly sunny and warmer. Low: 45. High: 79. Wind: S 10-15 mph.
