Applications for a rebate program aimed at aiding lower and middle-class residents of Boulder, Colorado, to afford groceries are opening up on Wednesday.
The city's annual Food Tax Rebate Program offers approved applicants $99 for individuals and $302 for families, per the city.In order to be eligible for the city's rebate program, the applicant must have lived in Boulder for all of 2022 and have been either 62 years old and older, have a disability, or have a family with children under 18 in the residence throughout the entire year.
The only additional requirement deals with an applicant's income level. In order to be eligible, an applicant's income may not be higher than $43,900 for individuals, $50,200 for a family of two, $56,450 for a family of three, and so on. The specific limit gets larger as the household size increases.
