.StephenAmell comments on returning as Arrow on TheFlash's final season
Hours after The CW announced that Stephen Amell will reprise his role as Oliver Queen/Green Arrow in the upcoming final season of The Flash, Amell took to social media to make his first statement on returning to the role that made him a household name to millions of superhero fans. Amell will appear in the ninth episode of the season, which means he will appear alongside John Diggle , Wally West , and Bloodwork , whose return was announced yesterday.
Fans have been expecting Amell to return for the end of The Flash ever since the end of the series was announced. Amell addressed that expectation with his brief, pitch-perfect response:"Of course I'm coming back," along with a GIF of Oliver and Barry Allen hugging.— Stephen Amell January 4, 2023 The guests will join Javicia Leslie, who will reprise her role as Batwoman...well, kind of.
"As soon as our final season was announced, we knew we wanted Stephen to come back and reprise his iconic role as Oliver Queen," The Flash showrunner Eric Wallace said in a statement."After all, it was Oliver who originally launched Barry Allen on his heroic path. That's why everyone on Team Flash felt so strongly that it was important to create a full-circle moment with Oliver's return in the final season of The Flash.
