It appeared to be the latter for Stephen A. Smith on Thursday as he kicked off the ESPN series with some styling commentary for co-analysts Jay Williams and Monica McNutt.
“I don’t know what the hell is going on with my boy Jay Williams, he picks the day that I’m outside the studio to put on the best outfit he’s had all year long,” Smith exclaimed of Williams, who dressed in a dark three-piece suit.ESPN“Monica McNutt, I’ve got news for you.
The remarks left Williams and McNutt in stitches, as the duo couldn’t stop smiling and laughing as Smith concluded his introduction.Once the show got underway, Smith — who was filming remotely from Denver ahead of the Nuggets’ Game 1 win against the Heat in the NBA Finals — requested a close-up of co-host Molly Qerim’s ensemble.Though Qerim verified Smith’s remarks, stating “I have worn it a million times,” she elaborated on why she recycles outfits.
