Steve Kerr said the Warriors will “know more tomorrow” regarding Steph Curry’s injury
BOSTON — Draymond Green heard Steph Curry screaming at the bottom of a pile up in the fourth quarter. He had five fouls, but had to act.
Green pushed Al Horford off Curry’s leg, earning him his sixth foul and an ejection. But the damage was done. It was a good sign that Curry limped the injury off and played the next few possessions. But coach Steve Kerr couldn’t say conclusively that Curry is OK. Curry departed the game with two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter because the Warriors were down 14 with little chance of a comeback, Kerr said. But said the team will “know more tomorrow” on the extent of the injury.
With a 116-100 loss on Thursday, Warriors fell down 2-1 to the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals. But Curry’s apparent injury steepens the climb back into the series. Golden State’s loss wasted a spectacular game from Curry in which he scored 31 points and six 3-pointers. After falling to a double-digit deficit in the first quarter, the Warriors rallied in the third quarter behind Curry’s five 3-pointers.
