CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA - NOVEMBER 28: Darrel Matsheke of Stellenbosch FC during the DStv Premiership match between Cape Town Spurs and Stellenbosch FC at DHL Cape Town Stadium on November 28, 2023 in Cape Town, South Africa. Matsheke only joined the Western Cape outfit at the start of the season on a free transfer after parting ways with Kaizer Chiefs.

However, Matsheke's time with Stellenbosch has come to an end after the player transgressed the club’s internal code of conduct. "Stellenbosch Football Club has parted ways with Darrel Matsheke by mutual agreement after the player transgressed the club’s internal code of conduct," the club said, as per their website.

"Matsheke arrived in the Cape Winelands at the start of the current season and made 12 appearances across all competitions, notably scoring the winning penalty kick during the club’s 2023 Carling Knockout victory. "We would like to thank him for his contributions over the last five months and wish him well in his future endeavours."For 14 free days, you can have access to the best from Soccer Laduma, KickOff, Daily Sun, TrueLove and Drum.
