In a statement, the mayor said the city had already been making adjustments to the Staten Island Ferry service due to the ongoing city staffing shortages. He said his office will work with the ferry workers’ union to reach a bargaining agreement. The Metropolitan Transportation Authority also announced additional transit services in response to the Staten Island Ferry delays.
