DUNGUN: Perikatan Nasional will not be able to “win big” in the six state polls following Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s “prediction”, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
The Pakatan Harapan chairman said Dr Mahathir’s prediction will be the opposite as reflected in the last 15th General Election where the former premier lost his deposit.
“In the last GE15, he said he would win ‘big’ in Langkawi. However, when the results came in, he lost his deposit. “Based on his last experience, they will lose the polls. God’s will, there will be a surprise in the upcoming polls,” Anwar said at the Sentuhan Kasih Desa Programme at Bandar Al Muktafi Billah Shah here on Friday .
During the same event, Anwar also delivered assistance to the needy through the Rural and Regional Development Ministry.
