The coffee shop has been in Highland Park Village for 30 years and was one of the first Starbucks in Texas.

Starbucks is located on the interior corner of the three-level Highland Park Village building located along Preston Road. Starbucks has been there for 30 years.Starbucks in Highland Park Village is leaving the luxury shopping center after its lease expires in February. The coffee shop has been a meeting place for 30 years and it was one of the first Starbucks to open in Texas in the mid-1990s.While the Seattle-based coffee shops seem to be everywhere, Highland Park is only 2.

The lease wasn’t renewed because in recent years Starbucks has become more about to-go and mobile orders, said Victoria Snee, HP Village’s chief marketing officer. “It’s not conducive to our shopping environment. It’s not a right fit for us.”No word yet on what’s going to happen to the 2,500 square feet occupied by Starbucks. It’s one of the largest spaces in the shopping center. “Nothing has been confirmed or finalized,” Snee said.

Simkhai and Brioni opened in July and both are Texas-exclusive. Balmain opened its only Dallas-Fort Worth store in September. Two more luxury shops opening in November are also Texas exclusives.
