Droid revolutionary vs. droid army leader.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Marvel's Star Wars line of comics has introduced a host of new threats to the galaxy, including the ancient droid revolutionary known as Ajax and his Second Revelation faction. The group's warrior pedigree was expanded on further in the latest issue of Star Wars: Bounty Hunters, which depicts them going head-to-head with Separatist forces under General Grievous, in a forgotten chapter of Clone Wars history.

Star Wars: Bounty Hunters #38 – by Ethan Sacks and David Tinto – is the series' contribution to Marvel's Dark Droids event. Ajax Sigma's return to the galaxy, and to his Second Revelation followers, appears set to have major ramifications for Star Wars.Bounty Hunters #38 Provides A Footnote To The History Of The Clone Wars Marvel's Star Wars: Dark Droids crossover event has increasingly become a tale of two droid armies.

Ajax's Role In Star Wars History Continues To Expand During his first revolution, Ajax Sigma made his final stand on Kligson's Moon, where he was ultimately cut down by the Jedi. The revolutionary's followers continued to inhabit the moon until the time of the Clone Wars, when the remaining droids were approached directly by General Grievous who proposed an alliance against their mutual Jedi foes. Grievous's overture was met with disdain by the droids.

Sigma's loyal droids emphatically declined the offer to serve in the Separatists' Droid Army, leading to the two primarily mechanical forces engaging in a pitched battle on the moon's surface. Surprisingly, Grievous' armies victory would not be his that day. In a curious twist, Sigma's droids used Grievous's own tactics against him. Individually, no droid on Kligson's Moon was a match for General Grievous.

Grievous, true to his nature, eventually made a hasty retreat. This previously unknown encounter between Separatist forces, led by their most dangerous war commander, and the droid revolutionaries loyal to Ajax Sigma, as seen in Star Wars: Bounty Hunters #38, is an impressive way to bolster readers perception of them, as they appear on track to play a pivotal role in the climax of Star Wars: Dark Droids, and perhaps beyond. Forcing General Grievous to retreat isn't a small feat.
