Grant said he left the broadcaster weeks ago to join Monash University’s Constructive Institute Asia Pacific.
Journalist Stan Grant has quit the ABC to become director of Monash University’s Constructive Institute Asia Pacific, which is based in Denmark.
Grant, a Wiradjuri man and three-time Walkley Award winner, said the institute was designed to “improve the quality of public discourse, to acknowledge that we don’t do conflict well, and to make media part of the solution rather than the problem”.
