Millions of people are under a flash flooding threat as severe thunderstorms are forecast to follow on the heels of tornadoes that swept through central Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri and Arkansas
Vicious weather brought damaging tornadoes and heavy rains to areas of the central United States already dealing with floodwaters that prompted scores of water rescues over the past two days.
The National Weather Service said one tornado was racing through areas west of St. Louis at 45 mph.A tornado warning was in effect until 7 p.m. CDT.The weather service's tornado Twitter feed also indicated there were tornado warnings in Kansas.
