Penghantaran awal berlepas pada Mac 27, dan lebih banyak penghantaran diteruskan pada keesokan harinya. Negara jiran Turki, Syria, yang musnah akibat gempa bumi dan peperangan, mengakibatkan 15 juta orang dalam kesusahan, turut menerima bantuan kewangan daripada Sri Paus yang dikendalikan oleh Kedutaan Apostolik Vatikan. Kedutaan Vatikan di Syria membantu menyelaraskan proses bantuan agar segera dicapai oleh penduduk yang terjejas.
