Former SRC International chairman Ismee Ismail says it did not occur to him to question why this was so when the company had its own secretary.
KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court in Najib Razak’s corruption and abuse of power trial heard today that an SRC International Sdn Bhd executive who has links with Low Taek Jho, also known as Jho Low, acted as company secretary in taking minutes of board meetings.
Ismee said he did not question why Geh was acting for the company secretary, BNM Consultancy Service Sdn Bhd, appointed by SRC International.When asked if he thought it was odd for Geh to take minutes when SRC International had a company secretary, he said it did not cross his mind at the time. The lawyer is also arguing that Nik Faisal misled the board by not providing an accurate directive of SRC International’s ultimate shareholder, 1MDB and the Finance Ministry Incorporated.
