Netflix releases the first teaser trailer for Spy Kids: Armageddon, a brand-new reboot of the franchise from Robert Rodriguez.

“When the children of the world’s greatest secret agents unwittingly help a powerful Game Developer unleash a computer virus that gives him control of all technology, they must become spies themselves to save their parents and the world,” Netflix’s description of the film reads.The Spy Kids franchise began in 2001.
A sequel, Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams, arrived in 2002, followed by Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over in 2003 and Spy Kids: All the Time in the World in 2011. All four films were directed and written by Rodriguez. An animated Spy Kids: Mission Critical Netflix series was also released in 2018 and ran for two seasons.
“We have a really fun new cast, Gina Rodriguez and Zachary Levi are so wonderful together, and our new Spy Kids Connor and Everly are simply magical,” Rodriguez toldHe added, “I’ve just heard from so many families how much they’ve enjoyed these films over the course of their lives. And now a lot of kids who enjoyed the first films as children are parents themselves and enjoy sharing them with their kids.
