Constable deputies continued to warn people to avoid the area just off Aldine Westfield hours after a person was found shot to death a crash scene.
An investigation got underway Wednesday on Hirschfield Road near Aldine Westfield after a major crash with at least one victim apparently shot.A search at a Spring apartment complex, where constable deputies believed a gunman was located, came up empty, hours after a crash victim was found with a fatal gunshot wound.
The Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office set up a perimeter around the Serena Woods apartment complex in the 2800 block of Hirschfield Road, which is just off Aldine Westfield Road. Deputies said they may have tracked the potential suspect in the apparent shooting to a nearby apartment complex.
The constable's office didn't provide any additional details other than warning people to avoid the area. The situation also impacted school bus drop-offs, according to Herman, who said they were not dropping off children on Hirschfield due to the area being blocked off by emergency crews.Precinct 4 later turned over the case to the Harris County Sheriff's Office to spearhead the investigation moving forward.
