Shah Alam will be celebrating its 50th anniversary as a city in 2028.

Mayor Dr Nor Fuad Abdul Hamid said old buildings with their original structure still intact add character to the area.

He said MBSA had numerous discussions with other authorities in the country to understand how the councils narrated the history of their respective areas.“MBSA needs to see how traditional villages and Sungai Air Kuning Dam can be highlighted as tourist attractions. “It is still in good condition and we plan to turn it into a tourist attraction, but we need to discuss this with DID,” he elaborated.
