Sporting codes are playing a 'dangerous and divisive game' that is certain to alienate 'huge segments of the community', Rita Panahi argues.
The Sky News host used her editorial on Friday night to warn Australian sports fans that they were about to be “bombarded with corporate virtue signalling” like never before.
“All these top sporting bodies are determined to play a dangerous and divisive game of race politics that’s certain to alienate huge segments of the community,” Rita said. The Iranian-born columnist and Sky News host said there was a time when sporting codes like the AFL had been at the forefront of stamping out racist abuse and ensuring everyone was treated equally.
